A drink regarded as the essence of Kangaroo Island in a bottle, flavoured with native plants and distilled in the wilds of the remote location, has been named the nation’s champion gin.

The KIS Old Tom gin from Jon and Sarah Lark’s Kangaroo Island Spirits’, Cygnet River, won the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards championship, handed-out by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria in Melbourne.
