The 2016 EH Shiraz comes from selected rows in Block 4 and spent 18 months in French Oak followed by more than a year in bottle prior to release. It is deep crimson/purple in colour with a complex savoury nose of olives, smoky bacon, black pepper and tar. Chewy black fruits are followed by spice at the back of the palate. Fine savoury tannins provide a broad mouth feel and great length. Enjoy now and beyond 2034.

From their historic Avon Brae property set in the rugged beauty of the Eden Valley, David and Mardi Hall select only the best parcels of fruit to be made into wine under the Eden Hall label.
The cool climate, ancient soils and the long ripening period provide ideal conditions for the production of exceptional wines of elegance and finesse.
Eden Hall’s commitment to the environment has been considerable with the revegetation and fencing of a creek line that flows into the Marne Saunders catchment. The planting of thousands of native trees and shrubs endemic to the area in woodlots and around the vineyard, has enhanced the aesthetics and provided habitat for various native bird species that frequent the vineyard.
