Summary

    This selection of three award-winning Pinot Noir is perfect for pairing with seafood.

    • Rapide Pinot Noir 2016
    - The colour is medium ruby, lighter around the rim. The bouquet consists of fresh strawberry and dark cherry fruits with some earthy, forest floor notes underlying. The palate is elegant, with depth and soft tannins making for very easy drinking. There's some charred oak flavour on the finish, which is long and smooth.
    - Awards and Accolades:
    * 2015 Vintage: 91 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
    "Light, fresh, pure, frisky, red fruited with a little spice, fine soft emery tannin, clean long finish. Delightful. Drink young. Need you know more?"
    * 2015 Vintage: Wine of the Week - Winsor Dobbin
    "Is this the best-value young pinot noir in Australia? You'd be hard-pressed to find many that are better. From the Adelaide Hills, where cool-climate varieties like pinot flourish, this is a bright and vibrant young wine. It's a bit of a show off with some "look at me" tendencies but quality fruit that's been given a short stint in French oak has resulted in a wine where the youthful vigour is also charming. It's fresh and easy-to-drink with bright berry flavours and softish tannins. Don't bother cellaring this one. Drink now. Enjoy."
    - 750 ml, 13.5% alcohol vol

    • "Vue du Nord" Pinot Noir 2015
    - Another lovely wine from Pike & Joyce. This wine should drink nicely upon release and improve over the next 5-6 years.
    o Aroma: Enticing aromas of blac k cherries and strawberry backed up by subtle oak characters and some foresty/whole bunch ferment elements - quite complex changing with every sniff .
    o Palate: In the mouth it is all juicy red and black berries with a nice, savoury edge coming from the good acid and fine, drying tannins. Delicious.
    o Awards and Accolades –
    * 93 Points - Gary Walsh - Winefront
    * 4.5 Stars - Tony Love's Top 100 Wines for 2016
    - 750 ml, 13.5% alcohol vol

    • Reserve W.J.J Pinot Noir 2015
    - The 4th WJJ Reserve Pinot Noir we have bottled and quite possibly the best yet. The palate is chockfull of ripe, dark berry and strawberry compote plus some savoury/gamey notes. Subtle oak, fine tannins and well balanced acidity add length and backbone to the soft, fleshy palate. Although very drinkable even now, we think 3-6 + years in the cellar will see the wine morph into a gorgeously complex classic Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir.
    o Aroma: Very attractive aromas of red and dark berry fruits along with some complex foresty notes and a hint of bacony/charry French oak.
    o Palate: The palate is chockfull of ripe, dark berry and strawberry compote plus some savoury/gamey notes. Subtle oak, fine tannins and well balanced acidity add length and backbone to the soft, fleshy palate.
