These are rare and special wines, made by vintners Michael and Alissa Hart in very limited quantities and all with considerable bottle age – the 2012 vintage from Hart of the Barossa’s Museum Stock and the 2013 vintage Limited Release.
Their Shiraz wines have received top ratings from Australia’s leading wine critics, followed by Hart of the Barossa wines winning three gold trophies and one silver trophy at the 2014 Beijing International Wine Expo, Top Wine Challenge.
2012 Limited Release Shiraz – Museum Stock (14.5% Alc/Vol)
Deep purple-crimson; this medium-bodied shiraz was matured in exactly measured French and American oak, and is a class act; it oozes red and black fruits, but has a positively elegant back-palate and finish; sparklets of spice and licorice lead the flavour dance.
Handcrafted, unfiltered and unfined, hand-picked, basket pressed, open fermenter for 2 weeks, aged in French & American Oak, 25% new for 18 months

2013 Limited Release Shiraz, The Brave (14.5% Alc/Vol)
The 2013 vintage produced low yields and excellent quality fruit. The wine has flavours of inky plum, violet, blackcurrant and resiny vanillin oak.
