Located in the ranges above the world famous Barossa Valley, the Eden Valley is one of the most prized areas in Australia for premium wine production. With an elevation of 460 metres, this pristine region, first planted with grapevines vine in 1847, is home to some of the oldest Riesling and Shiraz vines in the world.
The cool climate, ancient soils and later ripening conditions mean that Eden Valley wines are distinctive in their character with wonderful elegance, complexity and finesse.
Eden Hall Mixed Dinner Wine Pack
2016 Reserve Riesling
This is only our second Reserve Riesling and this year is made from fruit grown in Block 7 on the eastern aspect of the lake at Avon Brae. It is pale straw yellow showing a subtle perfumed floral nose. It has a steely acid backbone underlining a complex palate showing lemon with a hint of tangelo. While wonderful drinking now, it will age for many years. (95 points & WOW factor White Wine - Halliday Wine Companion 2017)
2015 Eden Hall Block 4 Shiraz
The 2015 Eden Hall Shiraz comes from selected rows in Block 4 and spent 18 months in French oak followed by more than a year in bottle prior to release. It is bright crimson/purple in colour; the nose is dominated by spice and sweet dark fruit with tar lurking in the background. Chewy plum and black fruits are followed by savoury tannins providing a broad palate of great length. Enjoy now and beyond 2033 (94 points Halliday Wine Companion 2018)
2006 Ratafia Riesling Dessert Wine
The perfect end-of-dinner wine. Pale yellow golden in colour with a distinctive toffee apple nose and hints of fairy floss. The generous palate of rich, mouth filling fruit with golden syrup characters trails on to a lingering, cleansing finish. Serve chilled and best enjoyed a little at a time over several sittings. (375ml 17.5% alc/vol)
