Owners

Ulli and Helmut Spranz wanted to give their family a healthy lifestyle away from the city and at the same time produce the best quality, healthiest food possible, setting an example that commercial food production is possible and viable without a detrimental impact on the environment. They wanted to make their products available to other families and consumers who value healthy, natural and organic dairy products.

The Spranz family migrated from Germany to Australia in 1987, hoping to find a property that fitted their vision. Their dream was realised with the discovery of 70 perfect hectares at Paris Creek, South Australia, between the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula. Green meadows with flourishing herbs and flowers, bordered by forests amongst rolling hills, and the most beautiful valley with the pristine Paris Creek.

Now one of Australia’s finest producers of award winning dairy products, B.-d. Paris Creek’s range of white milks, flavoured milks, yogurts, quarks, butter and handcrafted French style soft and European style hard cheeses are made from the highest quality, premium, biodynamic-organic milk.

At every stage of production, they avoid the use of artificial ingredients such as colours, flavours, stabilizers and anything that would interfere with the quality of their products. They minimize “unnecessary” production processes such as homogenization or UH treatment, and aim to provide the best possible health benefits for organic-conscious consumers.

“Our point of difference starts in the soil, continuing with the pasture, the herd management, and excels in our processing method,” Ulli says. “There is nothing artificial on our land, with our herd, or in our products. On our biodynamic organic farm there are no fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides and GMO’s used and no antibiotics or hormones are administered to our herds.”
